CLUB RESERVED TEE TIMES
There has been disquiet amongst a lot of members about the way the club times have been used this year.

As you are all aware, we have 7.30am Wednesday, 7.30am Friday, 7.30am Saturday and 8.40am Sunday as club bookings.
These times are for ALL members to attend as a group. The idea is for everyone to get there in plenty of time and put your cards in with the organiser for a general draw at least 10 minutes before our first tee time.

This has always been our way of doing things at SGC and it encourages members to get out with different players/newer members of all abilities and enjoy a friendly, sociable and still competitive game of golf.

If you are playing a singles match at the same time and don’t mind being in a four ball you can ask to be entered in the draw as a pair. If you want to stay just as a two then you go out at the back along with any four ball matches. If you are not there in time for the draw you will go to the back. As always, if someone has a need to be out early for a particular reason then ask whoever has taken charge of the draw if it can be arranged. If you are not prepared to be in a draw and accept the time and playing partners that you get, then please make your own arrangements and do not use the club tee times.

Mick and Jules will be doing their best during the next golfing year to monitor the draws to ensure fairness to all.

That’s all for now, enjoy your golf !

Tony
