Results & Fixtures
Good morning all,
RESULTS
Autumn Shield 5/10/24
Congratulations to Dan’s Staples and Clement on winning this competition with 45 stableford points. Tony’s Pegrum and May came a very close second on 44 points on countback from Chris’s Donovan and Snell also on 44 points. It may be an idea to try and pick a partner with the same Christian name next year ?
H Foreman Cup w/e 13/10/24
Well done to Captain Chris Snell on winning his first Honour board event this weekend with a score of +1, narrowly beating Dan Staples on countback who had the same score. Chris Read was third place on countback from Chris Nash both scoring a 0.
Birdie balls went to Pete Robinson for a 2 on the 10th.
The Captain’s name has appeared regularly of late in results and mentionables, luckily just in time for this years annual handicap review !!!

Thank you to all those that have paid Chris for this. Could those that haven’t, please try and get the money to him as soon as possible. I’m advised that the provisional list has been sent to the caterers but there is still an opportunity to add a few more if you want to attend.
ON COURSE BEHAVIOUR
It’s a shame to end on a sour note but we have to inform you that an alleged serious altercation between one of our members and a female dog walker was reported to us last week. It was also reported to the starters and the council.
As a result of initial witness statements we have suspended the individual from our premises and club tee times pending the outcome of a full investigation.
We all come across members of the public from time to time that are ignorant of our rights on the course or are just plain rude but it does the reputation of the club no good at all to get involved in abusive or aggressive behaviour.
That’s all for now, enjoy your golf !
Tony
