2024 Club Handicap Champion Daryl Mechem receives his Trophy from Captain Chris Snell
Last weekend saw the club championships played. Nigel and his team had brought the course in to a great condition in the lead up to the event and it made for some very good golf. Thank you Nigel.
The main event, the scratch competition for the Champion golfer was won by Garry Dickinson with a combined score of 76+77=153. Close behind was Daryl Mechem with 81+74=155 and a creditable third place went to QQ McEwan with 82+75=157. Some great golf, well played gentlemen and many congratulations Garry.
The handicap championship was also closely contested and saw Daryl Mechem come out on top with a score of net 69+62=131. Jorge had two great rounds to finish runner up with a net 72+36=135 just beating Jamie “Beef” Montgomery in to third place on countback. Again, well played to you all and many congratulations to Daryl.
Thank you to Dave and Carly for keeping everyone fed and watered as usual and to Pete “sambuca” Robinson for relaxing everyone with a spectacular, if a little brief, first round appearance.

CLUB KNOCKOUT COMPETITIONS
All the comps currently being played are progressing but there some people that are starting to hold some up. If you have entered a competition don’t wait for someone to chase you, contact your opponent/s and get them played as soon as possible please.
PAYMENT
Just a gentle reminder that when you put your names on the sign up sheets you are supposed to put your entry money in an envelope in the comp box. We currently have 6 unpaid entries in the “Vets” and out of 22 entries to the summer four ball, only 4 have paid.
That’s all for now, enjoy your Golf !
