Hello all,

I’ve spoken to the starters hut this morning and as expected the course is waterlogged and will be closed until further notice.

As of yesterday evening, Belfairs have decided that the Roger Foreman match will still go ahead for now on Sunday 24th March, hoping that the course will be open by next weekend.

As such, Nigel and I will go ahead with finalising the pairings today. If you have put yourself forward and are now unable to play on the 24th, please let us know ASAP !

The Captain’s away day at Basildon is coming up on Thursday 11th April. Full English breakfast, golf, lunch and prizes. We will also be playing for the Biceno Trophy. Cost is £50.00 for the day.

I will be putting a list up in the hope that the club will be open for golf soon. However, if you wish to come, please message me in the meantime so that I have an idea of numbers.

Essex Golf Union have said that if our course is still closed on 7th April then ALL the matches will be played at Crowlands.

Mick is trying to arrange a practice at Crowlands for the last weekend in March.
