Good morning all.

Firstly, Chris would like to thank everyone that turned out to support himself and Anita on his “Drive In” yesterday. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all that attended including the Kindred Captains and their partners. I know Chris has individually thanked all those within the club that helped him. Between the raffle and other activities and some personal donations a total of £450.00 was raised on the day for this year’s Captains charity, Scotty’s little soldiers. A great start to his year, well done everyone ! (is it just me or does he look a lot happier as a Grinch than he normally does ?)

Unfortunately, as a lot of you already know, the course was badly vandalised by some mindless idiots at the weekend, driving quads or dirt bikes over the greens and bunkers. The council have closed the course today and are starting to assess the damage and necessary repairs.

As a result, we are cancelling the midweek medal scheduled for Wednesday this week and have provisionally pencilled in next Wednesday, 20th.

It is very likely that the course will not be fit to play the Turkey Trot competition scheduled for the coming weekend either but until we have more news from the council we can’t confirm this. We will keep you updated as and when more information is available.

The sign up sheet for this year’s competition will be up on the notice board from this Wednesday. Entry is £4.00 per team. Please remember when you sign up to put your money in a named envelope in the box. Only entries that have been paid for will be included in the draw.
