Despite the awful weather for most of the weekend we still managed to get 30 members competing in the two strokeplay competitions. The winner of the Jimmy Grove with a very impressive gross 71 / net 64 was Lewis Burgess, just pipping runner up Pete Robinson with a gross 76 / net 64 in a card play off. The winner of the Ben Birkham was Phil Sanford with a gross 88 / net 66 and the runner up was Chris Nash, with a gross 92 / net 70.

FIXTURES
The next competition up is the November midweek medal which is tomorrow, 8/11/23. Having seen the latest weather forecast, just a reminder that at least six players have to enter the event, otherwise it will be cancelled and played on an alternative date.
The November Monthly medal is scheduled for the weekend of 17th, 18th & 19th November.
DINNER DANCE – THE CHALKWELL PARK ROOMS – THIS FRIDAY 10/11/23
For all those looking forward to what should a great evening, Lee has confirmed that the bar will be open and available from 6.00pm, with guests expected to be seated for dining at 7.15. Following the meal there will be speeches and then musical entertainment provided by “Trigger’s Broom” with our very own Dave Burgess. Last drinks will be at midnight. Have a great time !
