Message from The Captain
Gents I would like to congratulate, everyone who played in the Roger Foreman. It was an outstanding team performance, in such bad weather. A great win, by 10 points to 6. Whether you won or lost, it’s not about the individual game, it is about the team, and as the captain, I’m proud of everyone who played. I would also like to apologise, to everyone who put their names down for selection and didn’t make the team. Chris Snell and myself spoke tirelessly about the side we wanted to play, and as there are only 30 places available, we selected a side, that we thought could bring home the Roger Foreman. I understand that some are going to be disappointed but everyone in our club are part of this team, so you can all be proud. Chris Snell and myself also retained the Woodhouse Tool yesterday, with a 3 and 1 win, against the captain and vice captain of Belfairs, Baz and Joan. As I’m coming to the end of my captaincy, it has made me very proud to be your Captain over the past year and to go out on such a high. Thank you all, and I know everyone at our club, will put their full support behind Chris Snell next year as your new Captain.
Happy Golfing gents.
Once again CONGRATULATIONS Lee
