Hello All,

SECURITY UPDATE
We have completed a lot of largely unseen work within the club this year. The electrics have been completely upgraded to the required standard. We have fitted the alarm system and we now have working cctv cameras around the club. The insurance claim for the doors has been approved and we will be in a position to replace them soon. Our thanks go out to Dan Clement and Steve and Dan Staples for their generosity and time in making this possible. Hopefully this will help prevent a repeat of the disruption caused by the recent break ins.

IMPORTANT VACANCY
As we come up to the end of our membership year and prepare for our AGM later in the year, the committee would like to seek volunteers for the position of Honorary Treasurer.
Kevin Verner has decided to step down from this role after completing the club accounts at the end of October. We are therefore keen that a new treasurer is in place to begin the new membership year in November.
Any interested members should make themselves known to the Captain or any member of the Committee.
As you all are aware, all committee positions are voluntary and the club can only run with the generosity of members using their own time to support the running of the club.

COMPETITIONS
Congratulations to Mark Critcher on winning the mid week medal this month with a personal best score resulting in a net 65. Full results are available on the button below.
We are playing the Monthly medal this weekend and next weekend is the Tiger Trophy. Both of these competitions carry merit points and when they have been completed I will endeavor to publish an up to date list so you can all see your standings as we head in to the last month of our golfing year.

SIGN UP SHEETS
Just a reminder that there are three sign up sheets in the club at the moment, One for the Captains away day at Mardyke, 6th October, one for the Roger Foreman Match v Belfairs, 29th October and one for the Dinner Dance in November. If you are interested in these events, please get your names down as soon as possible.

Happy Golfing

Tony Howson
