I have been asked by a number of members recently about what competitions are in the pipeline and dates etc, so just a reminder that the diary on the club website, www.southendgolf.co.uk is up to date until the end of October.

Gold & Silver Medal Weekend

Next up is Gold & Silver Medal weekend, Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd September.
The Gold Medal is an Honour board competition and attached is a list of those of you that have qualified to enter.
The Silver medal is open to the rest of the club.
There will be two separate competitions on the computer SO PLEASE ENSURE YOU SIGN INTO THE CORRECT COMPETITION.
Format; White tees, strokeplay, £3.00 entry and par 3 birdie balls for both competitions.

SGC Memorial Day – Saturday 9th September

We will be playing for The Dave Cundick Trophy. This is a club event in honour of and to remember members no longer with us and so is not open to guests.
Lee has put a sign up sheet on the notice board with all the details for the day (copy attached) so please get your names down as soon as possible to make estimating catering easier. A draw will be done and sent out beforehand.
It’s worth noting is that the First tee time will be 10.00 am. We have returned our normal 7.30 am booking so if you can’t / don’t want to play in the competition but still want to play your normal golf, you will need to book through the starters hut.
