Captains Cup – Captains Day – Saturday 19th August
First and foremost, a huge thank you to Captain Lee and his team for putting on such a great day on Saturday. Lee has sent the following message.
*Gents I would like to thank everyone, who attended my captains day. It was a great day and I hope everyone enjoyed it. These days don’t happen without, the help and support of the members of this great club. I would like to thank, Carleigh, Terry and Bucko for your efforts behind the bar. Mick for cutting the grass. Nigel for doing the bbq. Chris and Anita Snell for their continued support during this year. Paul Gray for playing some great tunes. Nick Chapman, Jarrod and Craig for their kind donations and support. My Wife Denise and my children Hayley and Luke who have supported me during my Tenure as captain. John Fryatt who loved the banter and laughter on the 10th tee, in beating the pro. Which 95% did. Tony Howson who helped me, with the draw, especially when people didn’t put their names down and at the last minute wanting to play. If I’ve missed anyone, I apologise, but once again, thank you all. My charity done really well, and the total so far is nearly £3000. This is such a special club, with great members who will always be my friends. Congratulations to all the winners. Once again thank you all very much. Happy golfing. Regards Lee

Dinner Dance Update
Unfortunately, due to an administration error at Chalkwell Park Rooms, the date for the Dinner Dance this year has had to be changed and is now on Friday 10th November. Further details will be sent out nearer the time.
Finally, there are no competitions on this weekend so enjoy your usual “roll ups”. There are a few of you falling behind in various outstanding singles and doubles matches (you know who you are), please try and get them arranged and played as soon as possible.
Kind Regards and Happy Golfing
