Hello All

Last Weekend The Club Championships were played both Scratch & Handicap. All forms of weather conditions during the Weekend saw Wind, cloud, rain and sun to add to the challenge.

Congratulations to Mick Edmunds and Chris Nash who Won the Scratch and Handicap Championships respectively. Well played to you both.

Well done to the Runners-Up Lewis Burgesss and Gary Fraser. Also Andy Scott and Bryn Cooksley who finished 3rd.

The consolation Competition for those who did not play two Rounds over the Weekend was Won by Dave Burgess. Well done Dave.

Thank you all who played for making the Weekend go smoothly and your assistance in returning scores quickly. Also Tony Howson for all of his help which was appreciated.

Tony will commence his duties as your Competition Secretary tomorrow and will be excellent in the role. All competitions and dates to note until the end of our golf year up to November will appear in the club diary on the website southendgolf.co.uk shortly.

This coming Weekend will be The August Monthly Medal, early this month as the Old Thorns trip is on over the following Weekend.
