June Medal Result and More
Hello All
Last Weekend we played the June Monthly Medal.
Thank you all who played for supporting The Club.
Another record entry of 42 played over the weekend raising valuable competition monies for the Club.
Division 1 Winner with 83 – 16 = 67 was Dave Seymour from the Runner -Up Lewis Burgess, 75- 8 = 67 (Lowest Gross) in a Card Play-Off. Congratulations both and well played.
Division 2 was won by Cyril Elliott with 93 – 26= 67. Runner – Up was Colin Fulker with 94 – 27 = 67, again in a Card Play – Off.
Congratulations Cyril on a winning score at the age of 90. You are truly an inspiration and example to us all!
Birdie Balls were Won by:
Lewis Burgess (1) Dan Clement (12) Jorge (10) Nick Chapman (7) and Phil Sanford (7) Well played all.
The Draw for the Summer 4 Ball will be made by The Captain at the Club on Saturday.
There is no Club Competition this coming weekend. Please carry on playing outstanding Matches as we reach the busy part of the summer season.
Saturday is Pie & Mash night at the Club. Sold out, be there for 6pm for food and entertainment!
Captain & Vice 3 Club challenge competition Saturday 15th July. I have attached the poster that Lee is putting up at the Club. Please support the Club and Captains Charity by attending. Another great day last year with BBQ and Music after golf. 12 Noon start. £15 per head. This is a Club Competition but with Prizes and NP’s to be won. A reduced Green Fee of £12 has been secured.
The Seniors enjoyed a lovely day of Golf at Maldon on Wednesday. The hosts I am informed have never lost at Home. They were made extremely welcome and look forward to the return Match later in the year when we will return the Hospitality. Thank you to Dave Seymour for organising.
The Seniors play Boyce Hill/ Essex Police at Home on Wednesday 5th July in the annual meeting. Bacon Rolls, Tea coffee and fish and chip lunch. Thank you to Paul Eley for organising. 9am first Tee time TBC.
Chris Read, a returning new member scored an impressive 84 – 24 = 60 in Division 2. Great score and very well played Chris.
Under the Clubs 2023 Competition Rules a Member submitting cards for a new Handicap can not win a Club Competition until 8 cards have been submitted. Where this occurs an alternative prize will be awarded.
