Committee Statement to Members

Dear Members,

The committee would like to take this opportunity to update you all on our current financial situation.

With ever increasing operational costs in all areas the club finds itself in a position where the revenue from sales at the bar and membership fees,which were once sufficient to supports the clubs costs are projected to fall well short going forward.

An investigation of our current finances has sadly estimated that the minimum amount required from our members to renew in the coming year will be £220.00. The cost of Social membership will also increase to £40.00 per year.

Your membership fee will now include £20 affiliation fee to England golf and the Essex Golf Union. These fees were previously paid separately by the club. We can no longer afford to do so. We have been advised that these fees should form part of members joining/renewal package.

These decisions were not taken lightly. We know that it will upset some, and will result in some of you choosing not to renew your membership of our club at the end of the year. We all sincerely hope that this is not the case.

The committee are determined to secure the stable financial position of our club. We hope that you continue to enjoy and support your club by using the bar more and playing in competitions thus providing much needed cash flow.
