September Monthly Medal

Hello All

After the sad news of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth, we move forward this coming Weekend golf as usual.

The Club Website has been updated with a fitting tribute and message of condolence to The Royal Family on behalf of The Committee and our Members.

We will, as published on the Club website Diary be playing the September Monthly Medal. £3.00 entry Fee, play from the White Tees. There will be Birdie balls for Par 3 Holes only. Please sign in and enter your scores on the computer when completed.

This coming Sunday is also The Kindred Final played at Boyce Hill GC.

All those who have qualified to represent our Club have been notified of the arrangements. We wish you all the best of luck and best wishes and I hope you and all supporting enjoy your day.

Dates to Note September:

* 16-18th – September Medal
* 23_24th – Tiger Trophy
* Fri 23rd – Captains Away Day – Stapleford Abbotts GC.
* Wed 28th – Midweek Medal

The Quality Street Golf Day is now set for Saturday 1st October. This is Free for Quality Street Sunday Members and will include Food and Prizes etc. Non Quality Street Members are welcome to play but there will be a cost to cover the above. Further details, list etc in due course. The event held at the Club last year was a success!

The Dave Cundick Trophy postponed last Saturday will be rearranged in due course.

We are getting to the end of a great summer and on Friday 30th September Preferred Lies come into force in accordance with directions from England Golf.

‘When a players ball lies on part of the general area cut to fairway height or less, the player may prefer the lie within 6 inches’

A long form of this Rule will be placed on the Competition Board at the Club for reference.
