Hello All

After a couple of very busy weeks its time to catch up!

Starting with The Guest Day where the Club hosted a field of over 86 Members and Guests.

A highly enjoyable day, with thanks to Captain Nick, his family and all the Ladies plus everyone who contributed to the day. Great BBQ courtesy of Vice Lee and Nigel.

The Winner with an incredible 46 Points was Dave Frost from Runner up Dave Johnson on 45 Points. Great scoring congratulations and well done both of you.

Congratulations to Team Burgess and Guests on winning the Texas Scramble in the afternoon.

The Captain will be sending out his own message in due course.

This Saturday we celebrated The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee by hosting a special Platinum Jubilee Stableford Competition and unveiling of a picture of The Queen and plaque in the Clubhouse by The Captain Nick.

The Winner with 39 Points in tricky windy conditions was Mick Edmunds from The Runner up Bob Leek with 37 Points. Congratulations and very well done to you both.

Another enjoyable days golf at the Club with the unveiling, presentation and Loyal Toast by those present to HM The Queen.

Spring Shield:

This coming Sunday 12th June we are playing The Spring Shield (Qualifier) This is a Honour Board Competition. The current Holders are Andy Scott and Peter Robinson.

The 4 Teams with highest Stableford Score will represent the Club at the Kindred Final hosted at Boyce Hill Golf Club later this Summer on Sunday 18th September.

Many of you have already indicated your intention to play with partners. At present you may sign in on the day normal Club tee time and create your Team. There will be a card draw.

If a qualified Team are unable to play in the Final they will be replaced by the next available Team in finishing order.

Please arrive at the Club early in order to have a smooth Draw. All are welcome to play and make up Teams on the day.

Members and Guests Behaviour in The Club:

Whilst the Committee wish you to be able to relax and express yourselves freely at Your Club, you are all reminded that abusive, aggressive or insulting behaviour can not and will not be tolerated.

We are an inclusive Club who value all of our Members. Such behaviour, although rare will be dealt with by the Committee.

Please treat each other and fellow Members personal property with respect at all times.
