Morning All

On Friday We enjoyed a very enjoyable Captains Spring outing at Basildon. The Hospitality and the condition of the course was great.

20 Members plus 6 Guests played, the Members playing for The Biceno Trophy.

The Winner with an impressive 40 Points was Phil Sanford, from Runner Up Lee Porter with 38 Points. Congratulations Phil and well played to you both.

Nearest the Pins were won by Iain McEwan and Tony Pegrum. Well done chaps.

The Full result will be posted at the Club. I will be putting all cards not already entered, onto the WHS site for Handicap Purposes later today.

Thank you all who attended on behalf of Nick for your support. Thanks Nick for a good day.

Many off you will know that Nick has suffered a leg injury as a result of a combination of playing Vet’s football and over excitement afterwards! He will sadly be off the course for about a month. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Those playing this Week there will be an Easter Raffle, the draw after golf on Sunday.

Tickets at £1 per strip and are available at the Club. Prizes include alcohol and chocolate so whats not to like! Please support the Captains Charity and buy some tickets.

This Weekend We will be playing The April Monthly Medal, £3.00 entry plus Birdie Balls for Par 3 Holes only. Play from the White Competition Tees. Please Sign in and enter your scores on the computer.

The following Weekend is the Southend Cup Qualifier. Medal Round with the Top 15 plus the Holder Bob Leek entering a Knock out Competition. £3.00 entry.

Reminder: When NR, please enter your score for all subsequent completed Holes. As I have stated before, failure to do so repeatedly may result in a Penalty score being applied which will affect your Handicap adversely.

Preferred Lies and all associated Local Winter Rules are still in place until at least the 30th of April.

This coming Weekend is the cut off date for the Second Round off the Sportsman Trophy. unless you have been granted an Extension. All Matches not played will be scratched from the Competition.

The following Weekend is the cut off date for the Veterans Trophy. Same applies.

The Final will be delayed whilst Nigel recovers from his Wrist injury?
