Scott Wins and Porter Birdies 3’s!
Hello All
The Tiger Trophy was competed for over last Weekend. Friday was washed out with constant rain and the course over the rest of the Weekend was challenging with the wet and long rough adjacent to the fairways and around the bunkers. 17 Players took part and £50.50p was collected?
Full results will be posted as usual in the Club or can be viewed on HowdidiIdo Members page.
The Winner, again maintaining his domination of Competition since the last Lock down was Andy Scott, scoring 83/69 in a Card play off from Martin Johnson also scoring 83/69.
Congratulations and well played to you both on the only Net sub Par rounds in tough conditions.
As Members discussed the scores in the bar, several commented that ‘If only Andy could chip he would be a great golfer’
Lee Porter achieved Two Birdies on the Par 3 12th and 15th, a commendable achievement!
Well done Lee, two sleeves of balls coming your way.
Mick Edmunds asked that I mention that he achieved the Lowest Gross score of 74/70. In all honesty a good effort, especially on his return from hand surgery. well done Mikey!

Wednesday Wanderers Match v Belfairs :
As some of you may be aware, I have been approached by John Brennan from Belfairs to jointly arrange a ‘Friendly Match’ between the Clubs.
The proposed date is Wednesday 28th July.
Hopefully all Restrictions will be removed and all who wish to play can and socialise freely before and after golf.
It will remain as uncomplicated as possible, with a draw at the Club after Bacon Rolls, Tea and Coffee.
The Team with the most points wins at the end. All to be confirmed. The least organisation needed the better!
Dave will be there in the morning to provide the refreshment.
If you wish to play, I will be putting up a list in the Club. All are welcome. There will be the small cost of Food and drink to be put in the jar as before and maybe a contribution towards cash prize, NP and best overall score. All to be confirmed nearer the date.
The aim is to enjoy, have fun and also Win!
Lists are up in the Club for Vice Nick’s Golf day on 16th July, Guest Day and Dinner Dance!
Enjoy your golf
Best wishes
