Date for your Diary
The Dave Cundick Memorial Trophy will now be played on Saturday 12th September. More details will follow in due course. The Magnificent Trophy, purchased in the main by your generous contributions will be Presented by Dave’s daughter Maria. I will be placing A list up at the club this weekend and would appreciate an idea of how many of you intend to play. Please support this event to honour the memory of our friend Dave.
Next Wednesday 26th August we will be playing the abandoned August Midweek Medal, Should all holes be open. All are welcome. Midweek order of Merit event, £3.00 entry.
There is a strong likelihood that our Home Roger Foreman Match v Belfairs G.C. In October will not go ahead. This is as a considerable number of older members have Not resumed playing. A final decision is expected within the week.
I intend to forward to you all in the coming days a Power Point presentation from England Golf that covers everything relating to The World Handicap System.
It may appear a lot of information To take in, but do not worry! Your new Handicap and Handicap going forward will be calculated for you by your best 8 scores over your last 20 rounds of golf. Where this is not possible for new members who have not possessed a Competition Handicap for the required number of rounds there is a formula for doing so.
Please when attending the club make an effort to maintain social distancing. Please Do not attend the club if you are feeling unwell, in order to protect our more vulnerable Members.
Best wishes to you all.
