From this coming weekend we will revert to using the card box in the bar to Deposit competition and Handicap cards, plus envelopes clearly marked with fees enclosed.
Cards will be completed for competitions for 2 players only, if playing in a four ball 2 cards Required. I will accept three Players on a card for 3 balls, provided that the card is clearly marked with the names and handicaps of the players Concerned.
There is an up to date Handicap list in the changing room. It is your responsibility to Check and ensure that you are playing off the correct handicap before play.
Some members are confusing official CONGU Handicaps with those that are allotted in casual play and unofficial competitions. Please do not confuse the two!
Please take care when completing cards and thoroughly check that your scores are correct. Any future discrepancies will result in disqualification. The PSI in the changing room will remain out of use until further notice.
With the replacement of the white competition tees looking unlikely at present, the yellow tees are to be regarded as competition tees until further notice. This is not ideal but It is what it is. It is approved during COVID by the games regulators.
This weekend we will be playing the July Medal. For new members this has two Divisions Div 1, 0-18 Handicaps Div 2 19-28 Handicaps. £3.00 entry, birdie balls for par 3 holes Only, cards and fees to be deposited as above.
I have decided to reintroduce monthly Medal rounds in order to introduce a meaningful reduced Order of Merit table for 2020. We have now played around seven competitions. I will produce an OOM table shortly.
