SGC News and More!
Morning All.
No Competition this weekend so a chance for several matches to be played and hard cash to be played for by the ‘big boys’ on Saturday!
No one likes to see grown men cry and they say lightening never strikes twice, but spare a Thought for Tony Crispin, one minute punching the air and being handed a wedge of cash Having scored a respectable 19 points on the front 9 only for a sudden realisation that there was still a match in play out on the course, Fraser v Grimble locked in combat, having reached the third ‘extra’ Hole!
Having had the cash snatched back out of his hand, the exhausted Gary Fraser and Dave Grimble returned to the club to announce that Gary had eventually won the match, returned 20 points and therefore won the front 9 money!
Tony appeared to be smiling on the outside…..
The loud cheering and laughter was all a bit cruel I thought and even more confusion prevailed when Gary in all his excitement began referring to himself as ‘Barry’ ?
The winner overall in all the uproar was Mr consistent Roy George who yet again pocketed the dough and having bankrupted the midweek pensioners, Slipped off! All very entertaining.
