Winter 4 Ball Final Result
The eagerly anticipated Final was played on Saturday, with torrential rain at times to contended with. The pairing of Jarrod Joseph and Lee Porter triumphed, overcoming a spirited pairing of Ian Mcewan and Gary Fraser. Congratulations Jarrod and Lee on winning the first Knockout Major of the year.
Competition Update
Most Competitions have cut off dates clearly shown. There are matches that have been arranged, however there are a couple that do not appear to have been, or if they have I am not aware off them.
This weekend is a cut off date for several competitions. If I am not made aware of firm dates that matches have been arranged for, then the Competitions will progress. Priority is the Veterans and Southend Cup which are stalling. The Lower half of The Sportsman’s will catch up to Quarter Final stage When the A Burdiss v T Burgess match is arranged. This needs playing ASAP please.
Thanks to all for getting matches played and we are set to complete all before winter Tees, hopefully!
The Draw for The Burkes Bowl was made at the Club over the weekend and will be put up in due course.

Well done to the reduced Wednesday Wanderer’s Team for winning the recent Quiz Night and returning To top of the league! According to Ian Spooner, Dave Seymour and Guest Son in Law, were helpful in securing Some of the answers. Another successful night with a decent amount raised for the Captains Charity.
