Please find attached the Result of last weekends competition The Presidents Trophy. There were 16 cards completed with £64.00 collected.

The Winners with an Incredible 52 Points were Martin Johnson and Rob Leek. Congratulations to you both and Martin on winning the first Club Competition that you have entered! A Handicap Review/Adjustment has seen your Handicap reduced to 18.0.

The Runners Up on countback were L Burgess and I Southgate on 42 Points from D. Frost and F Lockhart in third. Well done.

This weekend we will be playing the Henry Cotton Qualifier. Medal, 18 holes, Full handicap play Off the White tees. The top 15 Nett scores and current Holder will qualify for the knockout Competition. £3.00 entry, Birdie balls 2’s on Par 3’s. Please sign in and enter your scores on the PSI.

Jarrod’s Birthday Golf and Party

Jarrod Joseph will be celebrating his 50th Birthday with his friends and family this coming Saturday At the Club. Happy Birthday Jarrod! An event not to be missed.

I am told that around 30 golfers will be attending to play from tee times commencing at 10.40am. Golf will be followed by a BBQ at the club, then a Party from 7pm.

Southend Golf Club Members who wish to play their Henry Cotton qualifying Round on Saturday must play off The white tees, sign in and enter scores on PSI.

Due to a full Weekend Diary of club Competitions in July and August and as a courtesy to all Members it is unfortunately not possible to rearrange the Henry Cotton Qualifier at short notice.

July Monthly Medal

The July Monthly Medal will be moved from its current Diary date 19-23 July to 12-14 July. This is due to a clash with The Kindred Final on Sunday 21st July. This will ensure that those Representing the Club, caddies and supporters do not miss out.

Burkes Bowl

I will be putting up a list this week for entries for the above Competition. Match play Knockout competition for players with a Handicap of 18 and over. Full Handicap allowance. £2.00 entry fee payable prior to the draw being made please.
