Hello All.

I spoke with one of the Course Grounds staff yesterday who informed me that the plan was to leave
The 17th green closed for up to 3 weeks in order for it to dry out and then complete work to try and restore it
to a playable condition.

I have spoken with Essex Golf Union who have confirmed that all competitions in the meantime must be over
17 holes and Non Qualifying, I.e. scores will not affect your Handicap.

Same plan as before, if 17th is closed The March Medal will be a non qualifying competition but will still attract the normal Merit points. All players for admin purposes please show a nett par on 17th when entering your scores
On computer otherwise a ‘No return’ will be generated.

All outstanding 1st Round Sportsman’s matches will be played over 17 holes. Please make an effort to arrange and
Play matches ASAP as the cut off period is imminent! I am aware that a number of matches are arranged.
