Hi All.
This past weekend we played the Golden Day Trophy. We had 20 players enter and complete cards.
£60 was collected. Please find the full results attached.
The Winner was Steve Fuller with 89/ 69 Nett
Runner up was Dave Frost with 96/ 72 Nett
Well played to you both. Merit points awarded to 1st-6th place.
Birdie Balls to both Lee Porter and Dave Seymour. Apologies to Brian Hone
For omitting his Birdie balls in last weeks update!
Last Tuesday the Seniors hosted Langdon Hills GC and halved the Match 2.5 v 2.5
Well played to all those who participated and thanks to both Paul Eley for organising and Captaining
the Team and Dave Buckley for providing Sausage/Bacon rolls before play.
I have collected just short of £100 in advanced entry fees for the Winter 4 Ball and Vet’s Competitions
to date. Thank you to all for your assistance in making this system work. The money is benefiting
the club!
Annual End of Year Handicap Review and Annual Handicap Report
In accordance with a request by the Essex Golf Union, I have been required to conduct a review
and report as above of ALL current Members handicaps over the past year. This is in order to identify Members
who’s scores over the reporting period potentially require adjustments to their playing handicaps.
The results are being considered by myself and will be communicated to those who are directly affected.
This Report/Review has also identified a small number of Members who have not played in the minimum of three Qualifying competitions within the Club’s past qualifying competition year.
As a result, these Members unfortunately can not participate in Club Qualifying competitions, for example Medals, knock out’s, Sportsman’s, until they have submitted three properly marked cards, played off the white tee Mats.
This is in order that the completed cards can be entered on the ClubV1 system in order for a Competition handicap to be calculated and assigned. This does not prevent playing on the day and submitting a card for consideration.
I will contact those affected directly. I appreciate that some identified do not wish or have any intention to play in these Competitions.
On a lighter note a reminder to all that the next Quiz night is on Saturday 30th March. List up in Club.
The Draw for the Winter 4 ball was made on Sunday at the Club and is attached.
The List for those who wish to represent the Club in the Roger Foreman away match versus Belfairs is up in the Club.
32 players are required.
Best wishes
