RESULTS
Many thanks to Chris for closing down the last couple of competitions.

The Midweek Stableford – Wednesday 21st May
Colin Gingel took the honours with a very impressive 44 points, beating Colin Jarman in to second spot on 37 points just pipping Daryl Mechem in to third on countback, also on 37 points. Colin Fulker, Paul Eley and Mark Critcher took the remaining merit points.

“Birdie balls” were won by Dave Seymour on the 12th.

The May Monthly Medal – 23rd/24th/25th/26th May
Div 1 was won by Daryl Mechem with a gross 75 – net 64 beating Chris Read in to second with a gross 78 – net 65 with Lewis Burgess third on gross 71 – net 67.
Div 2 went to Colin Jarman with an 89 – net 70. second was Brett Kilgour with a 91 – net 73 and Paul Eley third on 98 – net 74.

“Birdie balls” went to Lewis Burgess on the 7th and Jamie Montgomery on the 10th.

Lowest gross for the weekend was Lewis Burgess with an excellent 71.

Up to date date Merit points tables will be published at the end of the month

COMPETITION CARDS
A polite reminder to ALL members that it is a rule of competition entry that at the conclusion of your round and score entry that a signed, correctly dated card with the markers name clearly printed MUST be placed in the box in the bar area in order that it’s available for scrutiny. It has to be a properly stamped card from the starters hut clearly showing the date and category paid for.
Failure to do so puts you at risk of disqualification and / or sanctions for future competitions.

UPCOMING FIXTURES

Tomorrow Wed 28th May- Midweek Medal
As usual to be played from the yellow tees with club balls available for birdie 2’s.

PREFERRED LIES
At the conclusion of tomorrow’s medal we will end preferred lies. You will still be able to use the “abnormal conditions” guidelines with your playing partners agreement, to take relief from any damaged/abnormal areas either to the cut areas around the greens or on the fairways only.

NEWMARKET RACE TRIP
Unfortunately due to insufficient interest Chris has had to cancel this event.
He is hoping to organise maybe a trip to Romford dogs or another race day later in the year.
