PREFERRED LIES
We have reviewed the decision to withdraw preferred lies at the moment and they will now REMAIN IN PLACE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

RESULTS
Wednesday April 23rd – Midweek Medal
Not a huge turn out unfortunately but the weather was pretty dire so to be expected. Colin Jarman won the day with a gross 88 – net 71. Mark Critcher was runner up on 102 – net 76. Martin Johnson beat Dan Clement on countback for third, both scoring net 77.
No birdie 2’s were recorded.
A very good few weeks in Jarman World, two medals, the Biceno Trophy and a Premier League Title !

Saturday 26th April – The Spring Shield
There were 18 teams competing on Saturday. The winners were Brett Kilgour / Phil Sanford with a great winning score of 43 points. 2nd were Barry Ball / Paul Telling on 39, 3rd were Jorge / Clive Jones on 38 and 4th were Tony Pegrum / Tony May also on 38. Brett and Phil get their names on the honour board and along with the other three pairs have qualified to represent us at this Year’s Kindred finals at Rochford Golf club on 29th June.
In case any of the qualifying teams are not able to play in the finals, teams Dan Clement / Paul Gray and Daryl Mechem / Bob Leek are 1st and 2nd reserves respectively.
The top 5 teams received Merit Points.

Congratulations and well played to all the above players in these recent competitions!

UPCOMING FIXTURES

Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday – 2nd/3rd/4th/5th May – The Henry Cotton Qualifier

This competition has been extended by a day to run in to Bank holiday Monday, hopefully it will enable some that can’t make the weekend to enter and gives more scope for the 12 or so players representing us in the Norman Plum match this weekend. The format is medal / stroke play off the white tees. club balls for birdie 2’s. The top 15 players will go into a knock out draw competition along with last year’s winner, Mick Edmunds.
We have no club booking on a Monday so players will have to book their own tee times.

Wed 7/5 – Seniors Match at home to Ballards Gore GC
Wed 21/5 – The Mid Week Stableford
Fr/Sat/Sun 23rd/24th/25th May Monthly Medal
Wed 28/5 – May Mid Week Medal
