Hello to all,

The course is continuing to dry out nicely now, the groundstaff are keeping the grass cutting up in the areas that caused concern last year and there are improvements planned around some of the bunkers.

So all in all, with with the weather also starting to improve we can look forward to a good summer of golf at SGC!

RESULTS
March Mid Week Medal – 12/3/25
There were 15 players competing and Martin Johnson shot a superb gross 77. net – 73 to win the medal beating Paul Eley on countback who shot a gross 92, net – 73 also. Daryl Mechem came in third with a gross 81, net – 74.

Birdie balls went to Pete Robinson on the 7th and to Daryl Mechem on the 10th.

PRESENTATION NIGHT – FRIDAY 28th MARCH
We are hoping for a good turn out and a busy night at the bar for the club and to congratulate all the winners and runners up of last seasons competitions. Last year’s Captain, Chris Snell will be handing out the goodies. All winners and runners up in attendance on the night will receive a sleeve of club balls as well. So make a note to come along, have a few beers and banter with friends, whether you won anything or not and make it an enjoyable evening for all. On a personal note I would like to thank Colin Jarman and Pete Robinson for their help with the engraving and the honour boards.
